New features in QuickBooks Point of Sale V10

The new features for version 10 are based upon direct feedback from small business retailers. We're confident that these features will benefit all our current and future customers.

  • New User Interface: Our customers told us that they wanted a cleaner user interface, enabling them to easily perform key tasks such as ringing sales, entering items and tracking customers. The new interface also makes it easier to set up their POS system and train employees and it works well with touch screen monitors.
  • Messages feature: In our customer visits over the years, we've noticed that just about every retailer has a handful of sticky notes attached to their monitor, with reminders to call a customer about a special order, hold an item for pickup, or reminders of an upcoming store meeting or vendor appointment. Messages allows user to create notes and have them centrally stored in POS for easy follow up.
  • Quick Pick Item Selection: Many customers have items that cannot be tagged, such as small trinkets, fabric items or a cold soda. Additionally, many retailers also offer services (music class, wine club membership, etc.) that need to be handy to ring up. From the receipt screen you can quickly store and select from up to 12 groups of 12 items each.
